Lagos Aviation Academy (LAA) has become the first Amadeus training partner in Nigeria, after the Academy successfully fulfilled the criteria for gaining the certification which allows it to train students on the Amadeus travel reservation platform.
Commenting on the milestone, the Academic Director for LAA, Mr. Bankole Bernard called the partnership “an honour”, and ascertained that having the competence to navigate Amadeus gives any travel consultant a competitive edge in the job market.
According to the Director, “This is one of the many qualifications travel agents should have. There are so many untrained travel consultants out there, and so we continue to strongly advocate the importance of training and professionalism”, Bankole said.
Gilles Molesti, the Manager for Learning Partners at Amadeus was pleased to announce LAA’s novel status after one of the Academy’s facilitators passed the “Train the Trainer” exam:
“I am delighted to inform you that Michael Ozoalor successfully passed the Amadeus Learning Partners’ Train the Trainer certification. This means that your school is now a certified partner”, he announced.
Chinasa Mbene, General Manager (GM) of LAA, expressed optimism as regards the future of the students at the Academy. In her opinion, “Most travel companies use Amadeus to book flights, hotels, car hire services and others”, reason why she agrees with her colleague that the present partnership with the travel and tech giant will go a long way to boost students’ confidence and up their market value post graduation.
