These are exciting times for the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) Plc, as it recently became the ground handler for the U.S based United Airlines (UA), following the signing of a contract valid for three years. The deal heralds the return of UA to the Nigerian airspace in November this year, after its conspicuous five years absence.

The announcement was made by Prince Saheed Lasisi, NAHCO’s Group Executive Director Business Development and Commercial, who expressed his delight with the words, “NAHCO is excited to be the chosen one. We welcome United Airlines back to our airspace. We are ever ready to provide the airline quality handling at all times, the same way we currently provide to our other numerous client airlines.”

In similar news, NAHCO also recently signed a five-year agreement with Qatar Airways (QR) in Abuja and revived its already existing contract with the airline in Lagos for another five-year period – a contract which covers cargo, passenger, and crew transportation; ground handling service and ancillary service delivery. The company has also renewed its contracts with Royal Air Maroc and EgyptAir for an additional three-year period.

NAHCO Plc is a company that provides services in the domains of ground handling, cargo, crew transportation amongst others. It currently has over 80,000 shareholders, following its privatization in 2005.
