Nigeria’s biggest airline, Air Peace, launched yet another destination on July 28, 2023, to the delight of its customers. This time, the airline spreads its wings to Lomé – Togo, in the Gulf of Guinea.
Air Peace’ Safety Manager, Capt. Godfrey Ogbogu, who delivered the opening address at the launch of the new route in Lomé had this to say: “We’re reputed for our no-city-left-behind initiative, which is not limited to domestic operations but extends to the West African coast. We’re poised to continually interconnect key cities in the sub-Saharan region, making it easy for Africans to maximize the payoffs of air travel for the collective development of our nations.”
He went on to say that the new route will boost an already thriving relationship between Togo and Nigeria, as Nigerians already love traveling to the West African nation for both business and leisure.
Capt. Ogbogu expressed gratitude to the Togolese authorities, the Nigerian government and their other partners for enabling Air Peace achieve the milestone, even as he hinted at other destinations such as Malabo – Equatorial Guinea; Abidjan – Ivory Coast; Cotonou – Benin Republic; and Congo – Kinshasa, which the airline hopes to open up before the year runs out.
“We currently boast of twenty (20) domestic routes, eight (8) regional and five (5) international routes including Israel, China and India. Also planned for launch in the future are Houston and London. We’re constantly reviewing our route network in line with the travel needs of the flying public. We’re also modernizing our fleet, especially with brand new Embraer 195-E2 aircraft to continue to give our customers a unique experience onboard our domestic, regional and international flights”, he said.
