It is with immense pleasure and gratitude that the management and staff of Ibom Air celebrate the airline’s third anniversary since the commencement of operations on June 7, 2019.
Despite the numerous snags that plague airline operations, in three (03) years, Ibom Air has managed to bag the Best Airline in Nigeria award – twice; NATOP Award of Excellence, ATQ Travellers Awards among several others.
George Uriesi, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Ibom Air, gives the reason behind the airline’s success: “We are humbled by the overwhelming public acceptance and goodwill we have enjoyed from the Nigerian travelling public, which has motivated us to remain resolute and determined to keep pushing the envelope as we contribute our quota to the growth and stability of the aviation industry in Nigeria and Africa.”
The COO goes on to express gratitude to key players for their contributions in the execution of the airline’s vision: “Looking back over the last three years on how far we have come as a business, this milestone presents yet another opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to our esteemed passengers.”
“And so on behalf of the board, management and staff of Ibom Air, I say a big thank you to all our valued customers and stakeholders, including our shareholder – the government – and people of Akwa Ibom state. Our immense thanks go to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, for taking the bold step; for believing in and standing by this vision”, he said.
According to a statement by the airline, Ibom Air will provide opportunities for its clientele to win free airline tickets and other gifts as part of the airline’s third anniversary celebrations – a fitting way to draw more customers in preparation for the commencement of regional route operations which the airline has announced it will initiate later this year.
