The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has a new Managing Director (MD) in the person of Kabiru Yusuf Mohammed, appointed over the weekend to replace Capt. Rabiu Hamisu Yadudu, who held the same position during the last four (04) years.
Prior to his recent deployment, Mr. Mohammed was Regional General Manager, North Central Airports of FAAN, and has manned various offices within and outside the Nigerian aviation sector, including Chairman of the Aviation Roadmap Implementation Committee (January 2022); General Manager, Special Duties – FAAN (2020-2022); Director of Lagos Operations, Standards Organization of Nigeria (2017-2020), Special Assistant to the Minister of Environment (1999), just to name a few.
To his new office, he brings a wealth of knowledge gathered throughout his vibrant career and through courses undertaken such as courses in Airport Operations Safety and Security; International Civil Aviation Organization/Airport Council International (ICAO/ACI) courses on Air Transport System at Gulf Centre for Aviation Studies, Abu Dhabi; Airport Safety Management System Implementation course at GMR Aviation Academy, India just to name a few.
Mohammed has also bagged certificates in Global Trends and their Impact on Air Transport, ACI/ICAO, Montreal; Resource Management, IATA, Singapore; Procurement and Financial Management, PSIN, Abuja amongst others.
