Air Peace has convened a Travel Agency Forum in Lagos to align with trade partners ahead of the August 1, 2026 inauguration of new regional services to Bamako, Conakry, Douala and Libreville.

As West and Central Africa’s largest carrier, the airline used the engagement to outline network expansion plans, commercial strategies, and operational support for agencies ahead of the route rollout.

In his opening remarks, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Mr. Nowel Ngala, highlighted the strategic rationale for the new destinations, stating that the routes are designed to enhance intra-regional connectivity, stimulate trade and tourism, and generate additional yield for both passengers and distribution partners. He affirmed the carrier’s intent to maintain close collaboration with the agency community to ensure commercial uptake of the expanded network.

Speaking on behalf of the President of the National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA), Mr. Yinka Folami, Vice President, Lagos Zone, Mr. Yinka Olapade, lauded Air Peace’s sustained investment in network growth. He described the four (4) new services as a key development for regional integration and a catalyst for new business opportunities within the travel sector.

Mr. Allen Awosikunde, Senior Vice President, Sabre Travel Solutions, Central & West Africa, also acknowledged the carrier’s progress, characterizing the expansion as a significant step toward strengthening air links across West and Central Africa.

Mrs. Funmilayo Ogunsanwo, Manager, Air Commerce, Travelport, noted that the new routes are expected to drive business volume, improve market access, and create incremental revenue streams for agencies. She further commended Air Peace for its consistent effort to open new markets for the travel trade.

Technical sessions were conducted by the airline’s domestic, international and regional sales teams. Presentations covered network performance data, operational capabilities, fare structures, and customer propositions. The teams also detailed promotional programs and commercial incentives developed specifically for the Bamako, Conakry, Douala and Libreville services to enable agencies to optimize sales and passenger value.

This was followed by an interactive Q&A where trade partners engaged airline executives on network strategy, operational challenges on existing routes, reservation systems, and future market opportunities.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Ngala expressed gratitude to the agencies for their support. “You are ambassadors of the Air Peace brand. Every booking you make, every customer you advise, every itinerary you recommend and every passenger you entrust to Air Peace contributes directly to our success. Your dedication, professionalism and belief in our airline have played a significant role in making Air Peace what it is today,” he stated.

The CCO reiterated Air Peace’s commitment to strengthening trade partnerships as the airline continues to broaden its footprint across Nigeria, Africa and beyond.
